When a clothes dryer is turned on, electrical energy (in the case of an electric dryer) or gas energy (in the case of a gas dryer) is used to power a heating element or a gas burner, respectively. The heat generated by these elements heats up the air inside the dryer drum. As the warm air circulates, it evaporates the moisture from the wet clothes, converting water into water vapor. This conversion requires a significant amount of heat energy. Additionally, the mechanical energy is utilized to rotate the drum, ensuring even drying and tumbling of the clothes.

c. Digital clock radio: In a digital clock radio, electrical energy is primarily converted into sound and light energy. When the clock radio is plugged into a power source, electrical energy is used to power the internal components, such as the digital display, the circuitry, and the speaker. The electrical signals are converted into sound signals, producing audible sound waves that allow us to hear the radio or the alarm. Additionally, the digital display uses electrical energy to produce visible light, allowing us to read the time or other information displayed on the clock.

It is important to note that while heat is produced in all the mentioned devices, only the incandescent lightbulb produces visible light as a significant output.
