A boy yells towards a clikff and hears his echo 3.15 s later. If the air temperature is 12 degrees C, how far away is the cliff?

The distance the sound travels is twice distance.

2d=velocitysound*time

Now for velocitysound at 12C... You have a formula for that, I have long forgotten it, it goes something like this

vsound=330(1+.6Temp) m/s
check that.
