Can anyone guide me in coming up w/ a current developmental psychology topic?

I'm thinking of the topic "designer babies"...I'm not sure this will be a proper topic. The teacher's assignment was general in nature.
Thanks in advance.

Look at the internet influences articles.

If you want a topic for a "general" assignment, pick one that might interest you, especially one that applies to you.

Since I don't know how old you are, I'm not sure if all the topics will apply.

Adjustments to first day of school (grade, high school, college)?

How about learning to live on your own, away from your parents?

Fitting into or being influenced by a peer group?

Participation in organized sports?

Another thing you could do is page through your textbook. The topics covered there might "click" with a topic that interests you.

I hope this helps. Thanks for asking.

Please i would appreciate if you can humbly send me some tutorial on the above subject

Thanks in anticipation

Coming up with a current developmental psychology topic can be an interesting and engaging process. To guide you in finding a suitable topic for your assignment, here are a few steps you can follow:

1. Explore online resources: Visit reputable websites and databases that focus on developmental psychology, such as the APA (American Psychological Association) website. Look for special sections or articles related to current research or emerging topics in the field.

2. Consider personal interests: Think about areas within developmental psychology that you find intriguing or relevant to your own life. Consider aspects of development such as cognitive, social, emotional, or moral development that you may want to delve into further.

3. Evaluate your assignment guidelines: Review the instructions provided by your teacher to ensure that your chosen topic meets the requirements of the assignment. If the instructions are general in nature, you have more flexibility to select a topic that interests you.

4. Review textbook content: Consult your developmental psychology textbook to get ideas for topics that have been covered in class. This can help you identify areas that you find particularly interesting and want to explore further.

5. Relate to current issues: Look for topics that connect to current societal or cultural issues. For example, you mentioned "designer babies" as a potential topic, which relates to the ethical implications of genetic modification and reproductive technologies. Issues like social media influence on development or the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on child development are also relevant and timely.

Once you have narrowed down your choices, consider the feasibility of researching and analyzing the topic within the given time frame and resources available to you. As developmental psychology is a broad field, you have plenty of options to choose from.

Remember to consult with your instructor or seek guidance from classmates or professionals if you are unsure about your chosen topic. Best of luck with your assignment!
