can someone correct this for me.

10x + 2y = 7
y = 5x + 3
the answer:
The variable disappeared and 6 does not equal 7, thereforethere is no solution and the system is inconsistent.
*IF I AM WRONG PLEASE DON'T GIVE ME THE ANSWER I WANT TO TRY TO FIGURE IT OUT MYSELF I AM TRYING TO PRACTICE FOR A FINAL EXAM.THANKS.
