As a immigrant, I know that I have less chance to get into the University of California than other people. But I never give up the thought of getting into UC. As I mentioned before, I have taken as many college prep classes I could to meet the UC's requirements. Some of my friends once tried to persuade me to give up this thought, because it is very hard to get into UC. Of course I know that, but according to my personality, I know I won't give up any opportunities that I got. When I first came to the United States, I dare not to think about UC because I thought it is very little chance. But I remember my math teacher once told the class that "if you don't try your best you may regret later. But if you tried your best, no matter what the result is, you won't regret." After I heard this, my determination of getting into UC is more strong. I always believe that one's determination will help one go through every hardship. I believe that my determination can help me commit to 4 more years of school.

As an immigrant, I know that I have less chance to get into the University of California than other people.<~~Why do you have less chance? Less than which other people? But I never gave up the idea of getting into UC. As I mentioned before, I have taken as many college prep classes I could to meet the UC's requirements. Some of my friends once tried to persuade me to give up this idea, because admission to UC is very difficult. Of course I know that, but I am not the kind of person to pass up a good opportunity. When I first came to the United States, I did not dare think about UC because I thought I had little chance of being accepted. But I remember my math teacher once told the class that "if you don't try your best you may regret it later. But if you tried your best, no matter what the result is, you won't regret it." After I heard this, my determination to get into UC is even stronger. I always have believed that one's determination will help him or her work through every hardship. I believe that my determination can help me commit to earning my baccalaureate degree at the University of California.

ONE MORE!

As I mentioned before, I have taken as many college prep classes as I could to meet the UC's requirements.
