what are singing points?

As a music teacher, I've never heard of them. How are they used in the homework?

my homework task was to find out 2 different singing points and i can't find it anywhere!!

That doesn't make any sense. Are you supposed to be analyzing a choral piece? Are there points where there is, say, chanting or speaking and you're being asked to find where the singing begins again? I don't follow the assignment, but I want to help!

thanks very much for your help but all my task said was - ''find out 2 different types of singing points'' and we haven't been studying a piece of music at the moment so i have no idea

I apologize for the confusion. It seems like the term "singing points" may not be a commonly used term in music education. However, based on the information provided, it appears that you are being asked to identify two different techniques or styles of singing.

To complete this task, you can consider different aspects of vocal technique or musical styles that involve singing. Here are a few suggestions:

1. Vocal Registers: Identify and differentiate between head voice, chest voice, falsetto, or mix voice. These are different registers or vocal qualities that singers can use.

2. Vocal Effects: Explore and compare various vocal effects such as vibrato, vocal fry, growl, distortion, or vocal runs. These are techniques that singers use to add expression and style to their singing.

3. Musical Genres: Research and describe two different musical genres that involve singing, such as classical, jazz, pop, rock, country, or musical theater. Each genre has its own distinctive singing style and characteristics.

4. Vocal Techniques: Investigate and compare specific vocal techniques, such as belting, breath control, articulation, diction, or phrasing. These are aspects of vocal technique that singers work on to improve their singing skills.

Remember that these are just suggestions to help you get started. You can choose any two aspects that are relevant to singing and that you find interesting. Be sure to provide explanations and examples to support your answers.
