Could you please help with some of my homework questions of nouns and pronouns

We can help you better, if you give us the specific questions. However, here are some sites that may be helpful. I got them by using the key words "noun pronoun" to search on Google.

noun= person place thing,
Amber, The Mall, Ball

Pronoun= he/she/they/we/them ECT...

Our son's 3rd grade teacher gave out a homework assignment which had the students make a sentence for each of their spelling words and then circle the "noun" in the sentence. We received his homework back from the teacher with the words, "I, you, He", circled. The comments were that they were not nouns but pronouns. We were wondering if at this age group 8-9 if they would know that nouns and pronouns would be different. Should the teacher stated cirle the common nouns? Thanks for your assistance on this problem.

What is the nouns in this sentences "Mercury is the planet nearest the sun"

In the sentences you provided, there are several pronouns:

1. "he" - This is a pronoun referring to a person.
2. "I" - This is a pronoun referring to yourself.
3. "you" - This is a pronoun referring to the person being spoken to.

To determine if a word is a pronoun, you need to check if it is used to replace a noun or noun phrase in a sentence. In the examples you gave, "he" replaces a person or a name, "I" replaces yourself, and "you" replaces the person being spoken to. These words are pronouns because they are used to replace nouns and avoid repetition in the sentence.

Remember, pronouns are a subcategory of nouns. They are words that can replace or refer to a noun or noun phrase. Nouns, on the other hand, are words that refer to a person, place, thing, or idea.
