In the space provided, write a paragraph of cause and effect. You may use one of the topics below or one of your own choosing. Mention at least three causes and their three effects.

- friendship as a two-way street
- television and preschoolers
- vitamin deficiency in teenagers
- the United States boycott of the 1980 Olympics

Here is an excellent webpage explaining how to write cause and effect papers:

http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/composition/cause_effect.htm

Any of the four topics you listed can be made into an extensive cause and effect paper. If you need to research a bit, don't hesitate -- it'll make your paper more credible, especially if you follow all the guidelines for quoting, paraphrasing, and citing (http://www.ccc.commnet.edu/mla). For example, if you choose the "television and preschoolers" topic, you might want to read some of Marie Winn's work (articles, parts of books).

If you need further help in planning and writing such a paper, this website has good information and examples: http://leo.stcloudstate.edu/catalogue.html
You should especially scroll down to the links on organization and on the writing process.

Once you have chosen your topic and written your paper, please re-post, and someone here will proofread it for you.

what is the cause and effect of television and preschoolers

I don't know how to do it teach me!?!?!?

The cause and effect of television on preschoolers can be analyzed through three causes: exposure to inappropriate content, excessive screen time, and diminished social interaction. Firstly, if preschoolers are exposed to inappropriate content through television, such as violence or inappropriate language, it can negatively impact their behavior and emotional development. Secondly, excessive screen time can lead to sedentary lifestyle habits, resulting in health issues like obesity and poor physical fitness. Additionally, prolonged exposure to television can hinder social interactions and limit the development of crucial social skills in preschoolers. These causes can have three effects: increased aggressive behavior and desensitization to violence, health problems such as obesity and lack of physical activity, and difficulties in building and maintaining social relationships.
