Homework Help: Social Studies: U.S. History: Great Compromise

The Great Compromise, created during the Constitutional Convention, called for a two house legislature. Each state would get two legislatures, no matter what its size or population was (the small states liked this). Next it said that in the House of Representatives, each state would get a certain number of seats depending on the population of each state (and of course the larger states liked this). But should slaved be counted as the state's population too? The Three-Fifths Compromise had the answer to this question.
