I think that lots of people were to blame for Thomas Becket's death. There is not just one person to blame for his death. There were many people involved.

Firstly I think that one of the people was the king. I think this because he was the one that ordered the knights to go and kill Thomas. He also got the wrong bishop to crown his son this made Becket angry. Finally he lost his temper and was very angry with Thomas.

Next I think that Thomas Becket himself was one of the people to blame for his death. I think this because he wouldn't follow the king's orders he also expelled a bishop because the bishop crowned someone even though he wasn't supposed to without the king's permission.

The 3rd person I think was to blame for Becket's death was the bishop who crowned the king's son because he knew that he wasn't supposed to crown people this made Becket expel him from the church.

The forth and final person I think was to blame were the knights that killed Thomas. They were to blame because they physically killed him in a church.

In conclusion I think the king was mainly to blame but it wasn't just his fault there were other people involved.
