Guyana is a country in South America. It's size is 214,970 sq.mi.,
roughly the size of the state of Idaho. It has a tropical climate.
The population of Guyana is 735,000. The capital is Georgetown
which has a population of 248,500.
One-half of Guyana's people are Christian. One-third are Hindu. The
rest are Muslims and others of different faiths.
More than half of Guyanans are East Indian, which is the largest of
its ethnic groups, followed by Africans which are 30 per cent.
