write it like this, it is easier to read in this format. (3w+20)/200 = A/(A+12) cross-multiply to get (3w+20)(A+12) = 200A 3Aw + 36w + 20A + 240 = 200A 3Aw - 180A = -240 - 36w switch all the signs 180A - 3Aw = 240 + 36w factor out an A A(180 - 3w) = 240 + 36w divide by 180 - ...

Is this f'(x) or partial derivative?
Find d VC/ d y = ((y/240)^2)(w) = 2yw/240^2 + 0 + y^2/240^2 but final answer is.... = 2yw/240^2 So, is the question asking for partial derivative or first derivative? I think partial because the final answer only took the derivative with respect to y.

a. Range = V0^2*sin(2A)/g = 240.3 m. Vo^2*sin(74)/9.8 = 240.3 Vo^2*sin(74) = 2354.94 Vo^2 = 2354.94/sin(74) = 2449.84 Vo = 49.5 m/s. = Initial velocity. b. Range = Vo*cosA * T = 240.3 T=240.3/Vo*cosA=240.3/49.5*cos37=3.88 s. = Time of flight.
