Algebra 2- reposted no one answered
Thank you, I think I was just over thinking the questions. One more; how to I find the y intercept of the function?
Friday, November 2, 2007 at 8:53am by Allisen

Algebra 2- reposted no one answered
The function is not a straight line, but since you are talking about the y-axis intercept, that is where x = 0, and they tell you that the value of y there is 5.

Algebra 2- reposted no one answered
Look at your table and see what x is when y=2. It is right there at the top. A "zero of the function" is where y = 0. Look at your second row of the table, below (-3,2) to see the x value at that point.

You need to use parentheses. x-4/x+3 = x-1/x+2 Is the problem, x - 4/(x+3) = (x-1)/x + 2 x - 4/x + 3 = x - 1/(x+2) Or x - 4/x + 3 = x - 1/x + 2 Can you see the difference in these equations? This is probably why no one answered your question.
