11th grade physics
The subject is physics, not your grade level. We cannot provide figures with our answers. The acceleration needed in this case is a = (velocity increase)/(time) = 4.5/3.0 = 1.5 m/s^2 Use Newton's second law, F = m a, to get the force required (in Newtons).
