Ahh, havn't been on this forever!

I have a question about the book Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech. In the book it says, "Don't judge a man until you've walked two moons in his moccasins."
What does this phrase mean? To me it sounds like the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" or "Put yourself in that person's shoes."
Thanks

I DID NOT ANSWER ONE QUESTION AND THIS IS THE LAST QUIZ FOR THE YEAR 😭😭😭 it’s 4.13.6- Walk Two Moons, Chapter 42-44 Quiz ... I RESLLY NEED HELP

i think it means don't judge a man if he hasn't walked on the moon or moons

Robert is partly right.

This sounds like a Native American saying. It means don't judge a man until you've lived his life for two months (moons).

alright, thanks guys =]

You're welcome, MC.

your welcome MC.

This is most DEFINITELY a Native American saying! The phrase means 2 months. Each month has a new moon and if it is 2 moons from now that would be 2 months from now.

My father used to say this often so that we would "consider the source" so to speak. To truly understand someone you must think as that person thinks and you can't know that without knowing the background, experiences that person has had.

Sra

I think it means don't be judgmental. Have an open mind towards all people.

jim r is correct partly it means don't juged a man before nowing them...

i read the book

yea blufires right

It means you should not judge someone because you are not walking in their shoes so you don't know what they're going through.

Here is the best answer from the actuall book. Don't judge somone untill you have walked in in shoes just like dont judge a book by its cover
