Danbar turned and led the way up the creek and into a small pile of shrub Ronever saw that they had made a hut-like shrub pile in the corner sat Rabnad Zabrag and Garbaz. They looked exhausted they looked up at Ronever a look of anger on their faces.
"What is it now" asked Zabrag "wine that is blood or maybe chicken that is a rock"

"No" Danbar "who would drink blood now Ronever you are going to speed back up to that Woodcutter's house and find some real food not bark and rocks"
"But he's a witch" said Ronever "he'll kill me"
"Men aren't witches" said Garbaz with a look of anger on his face he arose and clenched his fists "now go get us food"
Ronever turned away and began to run up towards the Woodcutter's house. He looked up at the hill ahead he could see the Woodcutter's stump he smiled as he reached the foot of the hill. He sighed and began to climb to the top of the hill as he neared the top he began to fancy what might happen.
"Maybe he's up there with his axe waiting for me to come so he can whack my head off or maybe he's waiting by the door so he can stone me" he shivered at the very thought of it.

"What's the problem now?" asked Zabrag. "Is this wine actually blood? or is the chicken a rock?"

"Well, at least we could drink the blood," said Ronever. "Did we?"

"No," said Danbar. "Who would drink blood? Now Ronever, you're going to hurry back up to that Woodcutter's house and find us some real food, not bark and rocks."

"But he's a witch," said Ronever. "He'll kill me."

"Men aren't witches," said Garbaz, getting up and clenching his fists. "Now go get us some food."

Ronever turned away and began to run up towards the Woodcutter's house. He looked up at the hill ahead and could see the Woodcutter's stump. He smiled as he reached the foot of the hill and sighed before beginning to climb to the top. As he neared the top, he began to fancy what might happen.
