explain what it meant manifest destiny and describe how belief in that idea was a main reason for tge United States go to war with Mexico ( short response) I read my textbook but I don’t understand how I can right it in a short essay

So what does manifest destiny have to do with the U.S. war with Mexico? What does Texas have to do with this decision?

I know that Mexico lost a lot of land after the war and when Texas was annexated by the us they lost all their debt but was not an individual and their land was used as a border between Mexico and the us

Yep. Now relate that to manifest destiny.

The U.S. wanted Texas to help fulfill its ideal of including all of the land between the two oceans as part of our nation.
