1. yes

2. no. Kurds are a a minority group in Turkey.
3. I don't like the wording of 3. The answer could be C or D. Which answer does your text emphasize?

I don't really get what 3 is talking about it confuses me so I can't just check my textbook

For 2 would it be c then?

Wait no is 2 b?

Yes. 2 C

3. Turkey has more than one culture and ethnic group. What is the biggest challenge for Turks because of these different groups?

Ooops! I misread it too.

B is correct for 2.

so 3 would be c? Right?

So 1:d 2:c 3:c

No, I don't think c is right for 3 because Kurds are a minority. The question asks about people in Turkey.

Several years ago I visited Turkey and heard lectures from female university professors. They pointed out that it was illegal for women to wear head coverings in universities and government buildings. These modernists believed that the head scarves exhibited male dominance over women. However, I understand that more recently the ban was rescinded and now women may wear scarves in universities and government buildings. That would seem to be an example of Turks trying to keep their own traditions.

thanks omfg
