The time between a lightning flash and the following thunderclap may be used to estimate, in kilometers,

how far away a storm is. How far away is a storm if 9 seconds elapse between the lightning and the thunderclap?
Use the formula d= t/3 , where t is the time, in seconds, between the flash and the thunderclap.

27 kilometers
18 kilometers
12 kilometers*
3 kilometers

10. Write a rule for the function represented by the table.
x y
0 14
1 29
2 44
3 59

y = 15 + 14x*
y = 14 + 15x
y = 12 + 17x
y = 17 + 12x

11. Which function rule would help you find the values in the table?
p q
2 –14
4 –28
6 –42
8 –56

q = –7p
q = p – 7
q = –14p
q = p – 14*

Please check my work

Sorry to offend you Steve I do try on my answers. So before you judge me you should know I study hard believe it or not all my grades are a 90 or higher. Sorry for asking for some help. Not everyone is perfect!

I also want to say do help me if you think I am "picking a letter and hope" it is the right answer. Steve believe it are not people need help (sarcastically)

I got 12 because I added 9 + 3

STOP ARGUING AND GIVE US THE ANSEWERS!!!!

whats the whole unit test answers

Who ever gave Steve a like I will throw a basketball at your head. (this was meant as a joke pls do not harass me)

Don't help me

@ Steve: Hi! I don't want to sound rude, but I thought that I should say something. I am not a failing student but I do not make 100s on everything, and I'm still on here. You should think about what you say to people. SmartyPants could have tried hard on the last question! They may need extra help, NOT people being rude because they aren't perfect. Plus they didn't just ask for the answers, they worked through the answers and asked for them to be checked. Steve, you have helped many people but you sometimes do it the wrong way. Thanks for checking answers.

Let me correct myself on number 1 it is 3 because on my question it says t /(divided) 3.

1.a
2.b
3.d

T=9 seconds

D=distance
D=9/3
3 goes into 9 3 times so the answer is 3 kilometers!!

Steve, I do not care if I sound rude, because this needs to be said, okay?

Do not judge people by their answers. Just because the answers don't meet your "standards", does not mean that they aren't trying, and calling people careless is completely insensitive.

Some people actually have trouble learning certain subjects, (like I do with math) and are coming on here to check the answers. All they want is to learn how to improve because their grade sucks, and they feel hopeless, and bad enough about themselves already, and you just come in here like,

" Do you just pick a letter and hope? The first two, maybe you were just careless. "

Do you know how jerk-faced you sound? Like, seriously. Do you feel any remorse, sympathy, or any human emotion towards that?

Learn people's story before trashing them.

Yeah Steve just look at all the comments above me. Bro thinks he is Albert Einstein judging people like that 💀💀

Guys whenever there’s a fraction divide. So 9 divided by 3 is 3 so basically it’s “D”

What is happening here?

It’s 3 kilo meters! <3. Once I get this test done I’ll (maybe) put all the answers if I remember to

1. a

2. b
3. b

so im the only one with the problem saying 6 seconds them ._.

you have to serch the ?s indivgualy

brep bappity boop

istg u dont need to write a whole paragraph for no reason its not useful to anyone

Can I please just get the answers??? everyone's on here trashing steve and yelling at each other instead of providing the answers. I am a week behind and barely passing my math class. I can't do math, it stresses me out to the point of tears and I just want the answer to this question. Is that so hard??? I don't want anything saying that iT's ChEaTiNg because I've already done this test twice and I don't want to do it a third time.

Use the formula d = Start Fraction lower t over 3 End Fraction, where t is the time, in seconds, between the flash and the thunderclap.

A. 4 kilometers
B. 5 kilometers
C. 15 kilometers
D. 36 kilometers

d = t/3

d = 9/3
d = 3

#9 eh?

t=9, so d = t/3 = 3 km
How did you get 12? That's d = t+3

#10 Did you check your answer?
Note that y increases by 15 for each x, and starts at 14.
So, y = 14+15x

#11 Oh, please. Do you just pick a letter and hope? The first two, maybe you were just careless. But this one is too far off to be believed.
q = -7p
