Homework Help: Physical Education: Sports: Handstands

by Shannon Forever

What you will need:
A mat and a partner.

1) Place the mat on a flat floor and in a position you are happy with, then make sure the mat is fixed down (with masking tape if needed) and can not slip out of position.

2) Then imagine there is an imaginary triangle on your mat and then place your head at the top point of the triangle and your hands at the bottom points of the triangle.

3) Get your partner to then support you by placing his/her left foot by the side of your ear and then they put their right knee next to your other ear.

4) Spread your legs straight out behind you so you are on the balls of your feet and gradually lift them off the floor.

5) Your partner should then wrap their arms round your stomach tightly!!!!!!!!

6) When your legs and feet are directly above your head you are in a supported headstand.
