How about just dividing by 2 in each step?

Since a pie chart represents 100%, I'd find the percentage for each and divide them up in your chart as close a possible. There are 40 total in your count, so 17 Army represents 42-43%, 10 Navy for 25%, and so on. I hope this helps:)

Set it up as a proportion with either both shadow lengths on the top or the bottom. 5/x = .4/1 Multiply top to bottom (5 x 1) then divide by .4 You will then have your answer.

You need to find 7% of 900. Turn you percent into a decimal (.07) and multiply by 900. Add this answer to your original number (900) and you will have the answer. The easiest way I can think of to do this one is to set it up like a proportion. 40% takes 300 sec. so 100% will t...

See the Percents - Sherri post.

Percents
When turning a percent into a decimal, take the % sign off and move the decimal point 2 places to the left. So your 9% would be .09 Percents are based on 100, so to turn 9% into a fraction, just put it over 100. It would be 9/100. You must reduce it possible. I hope this is wh...

* area of a circle is r^2 times pi r=9s so r^2 is 9s^2. Multiply this by 3.14 to get the area of the circle. You can't actually solve it with a number since there is a variable involved. * Area of a square is length times width * If s=1, the area of the circle is 9^2 x 3.1...
