I have no idea what I'm doing wrong here... Question: A solution is 0.3% by mass calcium chloride. Therefore, 145 g of the solution contains how many grams of calcium chloride? My solution: 145g x (0.3g / 100g) = 0.435g or 0.44g CaCl2 What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

I think I understand, but the thing that I'm still a bit confused about is how ionic forces and dipoles differ. If dipole-dipole is + to -, then are ionic forces opposite charges as well? They must be in order to attract. Sorry if I'm being stupid.

**Chemistry**

The forces holding together an ionic solid are much stronger than the forces between particles in a molecular solid. How are these strong forces reflected in the properties of an ionic solid? a) strong hydrogen bonding exists between discrete molecules b) strong dipole-dipole ...

**Chemistry**

Thank you!

**Chemistry**

For #1 I think all three because there's hydrogen bonding between the O-H, there's dipole-dipole between C-H and there's Londond dispersion between the individual H. If that's the case, then all three would apply for #2 as well. Am I close?
