x dy/dx + y = 1/y^2, solve using bernoulli's equation. i got to du/dx + (2u)/x = 2x(u)^(-1/2). the u^(-1/2) is obviously a problem if im going to solve it using an integrating factor. if that is not what you yourself have gotten to then please show me my error.

Suppose R is the rectangle 1<=x<=4, |y|<=2 and evaluate the double integral ∫R∫f(x,y)dA, where f(x,y)= y/(1+3x^4)^(1/2). I first decided to integrate with respect to y first (which I think I can choose to do) I am a little confused at this part though caus...

Let z = ∫(e^sin(t)dt) from x to y a = x b = y I tried thinking about it like a chain rule but even then i'm a little unsure. I know dz/dt = e^sin(t). Can you please point me in the right direction if i'm supposed to use the chain rule.

or does x=0 not work because x does not equal zero on the point (1,0). cause my teacher was fairly lazy in class and used the point (0,0) for every example.

alright thanks, my teacher never showed us that if you set one of the variables equal to zero you can make it a one variable function. so say i approach x=0 and find the limit of that to be infinity. does the original function f(x,y) not exist?

lim (x^3-1)/(x^3+2x^2y+xy^2-x^2-2xy-y^2) (x,y)->(1,0) my question is can you approach (1,0) with y=x and does that change the the limit to lim f(x,x) (x,x)->(1,1) in which case i get 3/4 as the limit. and if this is not how i go about doing it can you point me in the rig...

Calculus. I need help!
im guessing you meant sin(x)^5. in which case yeah you did it wrong. you derive (x)^k , k being a constant, like this k*(x)^(k-1)*x' so f'(x)=5sin(x)^4*cos(x)
