I apologize! I misread your equation. Multiply through by x^2 gives: 9x^2-8x-2=0. Use Quadratic Formula to get two solutions: (8+sqrt(136))/18 and (8-sqrt(136))/18. I checked, and both work!

multiply everything by x^2-9, which gives you: -5(x+3)-3(x-3)=2 Have fun!

New point: (20, -28). Slope of line going through the origin and (5, -7) is -7/5, which makes the radius of that circle sq rt of 74, or (74)^(1/2). The new radius will be 4*(74)^(1/2). Assuming that the length of the x coordinate (and Y!) is proportional to the radius, that ma...

Please solve as polynomial to third degree: the product of three consecutive odd numbers is 6,783. What are the numbers? The solution being 17, 19, and 21, what are those numbers when considering: x*(x+2)*(x+4)=6,783? Multiplied out: x^3+6*x^2+8*x-6,783=0 What are the roots? 1...

Factor(unfoil) the area to get: (2x-5)* (4x+9). When you divide that by the height, the result is the length of the base: (2x-5) Not sure if you're solving for x, but I don't think that there's enough information. Let me know if this helps you!

Math
factor out a 2: =(2x-5)(3x+2)-(2x-5)(2)(5x+4) factor out (2x-5): =(2x-5)[(3x+2)-2(5x+4)] simplify: =(2x-5)(3x+2-10x-8) =(2x-5)(-7x-6) and, if you want: =-14x^2+23x+30

Math
multiply the quantities of each list: 3*2*4*3=72 Hope he brought his cell phone along!
