The standard free energy of activation of one reaction is 94.3 kj/mol^-1 (22.54 kcal/mol^-1). The standard free energy of activation for another reaction is 76.4 kJ/mol^-1 (18.26 kcal/mol^-1). Assume temp of 298K and 1 M conc. By what factor is one faster than the other? Im no...

I understand generally how to solve, by taking natural logs and the the derivative, but i am confused by the presence of the 3 in front... if f(x)= 3(sin(x))^x, find f'(1) should i move 3 to the y side or take the natural log of it? Thanks!

Organic chemistry: an attempt at synthesizing a certain optically active compound resulted in a mixture of its enantiomers. The mixture had an observed specific rotation of 11.0 degrees. If it is known that the specific rotation of the R enantiomer is -33.6 degrees, determine ...

okay thanks but that was wrong actually

Im not sure where to factor in the two longer compounds for this problem. "Rank the given compounds based ontheir relative acidities" HF H2C--CH2 NH3 CH4 HC---CCH3 This is the order i thought it was, but this isnt right apparently... (--- means triple bond, -- means ...

my mistake, the first molecule in the products should be K3Fe(C2O4)3 3H20

This is a balancing eqn Im finding rather tricky: ___Fe(NH4)2(SO4)2 6H2O + ___ H2C2O4 + ___K2C2O4 + ___ H2O2 ---> ___K5Fe1(C2O2)2 3H2O + ___(NH4)2(SO4) + ___H2SO4 + ___ H2O remember H2O2, an oxidizing agent, was used in synthesis, so youll nee to do a redox balance. Start w...
