That's odd, you can't solve this problem if it is not set to equal something. The only thing i can think of is to set it equal to 0 ans solve for j.
what is this supposed to be equal to? You cannot combine -108 and -9j since they are not like terms (they don't both have j).
What is true of a square root? You cannot take the square root of a negative number (if you're dealing with real numbers anyway). So for what value of X would 12x-24 be 0? anything below that number would make 12x-24 negative and therefore not in the domain.
