but how does (a + kp)x + (b + kq)y +c + kr = 0 relate to y-y' = m (x - x')?

Letting L1=ax+by+c=0 and L2=px+qy+r=0. The equation of anyline passing through the intersection of L1 and L2 is L1+kL2=0 where k is a variable depending on just how the actual line through the point is. Can anyone prove this because all i get is 0=0.

why is it not smart to replace coefficients in a blanced equation with the mass of each substance?

The international standard Kilogram in Paris is stored under double bell jars. What is the prupose of the jars? Is it because the jars create a vacuum to prevent the standard from gaining mass due to oxidation? If so, why double jars? Are there any other reasons?

For the autoionisation of water, it looks like 2H2O(l)-> H3O+(aq) + OH–(aq) I thought that becuase it is going from liquid to ions, wouldnt the Entropy be greater than 0? However, I have been told and I have calculated the opposite, that entropy is less than 0. Please ...
