You could turn them both into improper fraction. 15 1/6 would now be 91/6. Then 6 5/12 would be 77/12. 6 and 12 common denominator is 12 so 91/6=182/12. 77/12 = 77/12. 182/12- 77/12= 105/12. Then you turn 105/12 into a mixed number which would be 8 9/12= 8 3/4.
