Math
Thank you for looking this math problem over. I appreciate you letting me know about the /. I just felt like writing out the word divided. Thx for you assistance.

Math
This math problem is somewhat tricky. It says to write a pair of decimal division expressions, so that when you estimate and compare the quotients, you get 9>3. The below is what I thought of: 18.2/2 and 30.3 divided by 10 18.2 is rounded to 18 so then 18/2=9 30.3 is ...

Math
I think I may have a tad bit of a better understanding so like with the below: 276.3/9 and 389.4/5 276.3 would be rounded to 270/9=30 389.4 would be rounded to 400/5=80 so 30 would be less than 80

Math
So what you are saying is try to get a number that the lower number such as 3 or 5 can be able to better divide into.

Math
So instead for number 1 you would do the following: $46.35/3 and $81.35/5 Round $46.35 to $46/3=15.333 Round $81.35 to $81/5=16.2 so then 15.333 is less than 16.2

Math
I will go back and try number 1 again and relook at that one and will then post my second answer.

Math
The assignment is Compare Estimated Quotients 1) $46.35/3 and $81.35/5 Round $46.35 to $50/3=16.666 Round $81.35 to $80/5=16 16.666 is greater than 16 2)$7.27/13 and $9.08 divided by 19 Round $7.27 to $7/13=0.538 Round $9.08 to $9/19=0.473 0.538 is greater than 0.473 3)8.2/12 ...

Math
Ty so much. I am a little slow at this.

Math
If I have to compare the below estimated quotient: 98.4/4 and 62.8/3 Would I estimate 98.4 to 98? Would I estimate 62.8 to 63? Then do: 98/4=24.5 63/3=21 So 98.4 would be greater than 62.8 Would this be correct?

Math
The assignment is Compare Estimated Quotients. 3) 654.3/82 and 289.5/31 654/82 and 290/31 654/82=7 and 290/31=8 So 7 is less than 8 Please let me know if I am correct on this or not.

Math
I have more math problems that I will to figure out. 2) 3.1 divided by 4 and 6.4 divided by 9 Estimate 3.1 which would be 3 Estimate 6.4 which would be 6 3 divided by 4 and 6 divided by 9 This one I am totally confused about. The only other way I can think is 32 divided by 4=8...

Math
Thank you so usually no the numbers behind the decimals don't really matter. I will keep that in mind.

Math
80/8=10 35/7=5 10 > 5 would be the answer. I would like to try and send a few more problems to see if I am on the right track with this. Do the number behind the decimal not really matter when estimating?

Math
Also with what you showed 80/8= 35/7= Do you need to actually do the division and then determine which number is bigger or smaller?

Math
Let me ask you. I guess what I don't understand is how did you get 80 and then 35? What is confusing me is that the number is 76.3 so I would have assumed with the .3 80 but then there is 37.6 and I was thinking rounding that up to 40. What am I not understanding?

Math
I have an assignment and it is Compare Estimated Quotients. Estimate each quotient. Then write < or > in the circle to compare each pair of estimates. Please let me know how I would begin estimating decimal division? 76.3 divded by 8 and 37.6 divided by 7
