How mcuh heat is needed to raise the temperature of 80 grams of water by 30 degrees? I got AlphaQ=80xCx30. I know I'm solving for Alpha , but I don't know what the C would be or how to find it. Thanks for your help.

How many moles of ethane does it take to produce 8112 KJ in the reaction 2 C2H6 + 7O2 yields 4 CO2 + 6 H2O + 3120 KJ? I got 8112 kJ x 2 moles ethane/3120 kJ (5.2 moles).

Chemistry
I have to solve this combustion problem using Dimensional Analysis and molar heat: 2 C2H6 +7O2 yields 4 CO2 + 6H2O + 3120 kJ The question is to discover how much heat is produced along with 8 moles of water in this reaction. My problem is that I have no idea how to go about ...

Fe=55.85 Cl=35.45x3=639.2 total: 695.05. 695 moles 1 gram 3.45 mole x x 1 mole I actually got a different answer this time, because I did the work differently. Basically I don't know how to do this sort of problem, so I just need a basic rundown on how to do it. Thanks for...

Is the molar mass of SiO2 60 g/mol (I took the molar mass of Silicon-28, and added Oxygen's atmoic mass-16 and doubled it since it's diatomic). Thanks for checking my work.

By paper, do you mean essay? If so, then I would say when I revise a paper, I read it four (minimum) times through. The first time, I read it for style, and word choice. I see if I can make any points more clear, add more detail, or use better vocabulary. The second time, I ...

I'm doing the single replacement reaction Mg +FeF3. Would it yield MgF3+Fe? What about the single replacement reaction Li+K2SO4? Would that yield LiSO4+K2? Thanks for checking.

A headline shows you what information is really important--usually the company name, or sometimes a memorable slogan, the date of a sale, or a new deal going on. This is why the nitty gritty is often put in small print at the bottom, because the company doesn't want you to...

There are just a few suggestions I have. I found it to be a very interesting paper, and it was well-written overall. ~Maybe explain more why he thought God was dead. Was there a specific situation that proved this to him, rather than just modern society in general? Was there ...

The red-ox reaction is MgSO4+2K yields K2 SO4+Mg. I thought the oxidation reaction is 2 k yields K2(subscript) + e^-2. I said the reduction half reaction was Mg+e- yields Mg. Are these correct? Thanks for checking.

I have to decide whether these replacement reactions can happen. 1. K + NaNO3 What do you do when there are multiple elements? None of them are higher up on the activity table than potassium anyway, but in the event that one would be, would that overpower the others lower than...

I've been given a V with 51 as the mass number, 23 as the atomic number, and +5 as the charge. Would this mean that its proton number would be 23, its neutron number would be 28, and its electron number would be 18? And I've been given an element with 40 protons, 58 ...
