If I remember correctly, a and b are variables. So you will substitute the value of a (which is 6) and the value for b (which is -4) into the problems. Before you do that, remeber that 4a is actually 4 x a or, once you change the variable a to 6, 4 x 6 or 24. The same with 4b....
