30 - N do not use an = sign. it must remain an algebraic *expression* which does not contain an = sign, as you cannot draw an actual answer.

if you add a negative number, it is the same as subtracting. if rewritten as 96-100+773-297+10-251 then it is much simpler to look at. when put in a calculator you end with an answer of 231

have you had to solve the problems where you add something that reacts with both reactant and product but at a different rate? i printed off a second copy just to watch it burn when i was done.

ah equilibrium, how annoying thou art... since adding to either side of an equilibrium equation causes a dramatic increase to the opposite side, adding more H2 [a product] would increase the other side of the reaction, leaving you with more reactant. the same principle applies...
