you need to divide 5 by 20. Then with the number that you get you multiply 2 (the numerator). That is your answer. The reason that you take those steps is because whatever you do to the denominator you have to do to the numerator.
A 12% solution and a 24% solution are to be mixed to create 80 mL of a 16% solution. How much of each should be used? Is the correct answer 53 1/3 L of the 12% solution and 26 2.3 of the 24% solution?
ok thanks. i can never start these problems so I can go from this.

The bicyclists were 300 miles apart at 3 p.m. and were headed toward each other. If they met at 9 p.m. and one was traveling 20 mph faster than the other, what was the speed of each bicyclist? So far these are the equations I have gotten: Distance1 + Distance2= 300miles rate1(...
I need 3 examples of mechanical waves. I have seismic, and ocean waves. Are their any other examples besides these and sound waves?
What would the equation be for this problem: A bicyclist accelerates at 0.89 m/s/s during a 5 s interval. What is the change in the speed of the bicycle and bicyclist?
