A ball is thrown horizontally from a height of 19.17 m and hits the ground with a speed that is 4.0 times its initial speed. What was the initial speed?

You have two beakers, one filled to the 100-mL mark with sugar (the sugar has a mass of 180.0 g) and the other filled to the 100-mL mark with water (the water has a mass of 100.0 g). You pour all the sugar and all the water together in a bigger beaker until the sugar is comple...

A hollow brass cylinder is weighed on a pan balance (kitchen scale) which read in kg. The scale reading is 5.56 kg. The brass cylinder is now removed from the scale and is replaced by a beaker of liquid density 1.56 * 10^3 kg/m^3; the scale now reads 17.50 kg. The brass cylind...

The question goes like this: The original air-filled apparatus now suffers a temp decrease of 40 degrees C, do the resonant frequencies decrease of increase? Give your reasoning

Physics
Temperature decreases (gets colder) resonant frequencies decreases.. WHY?

Physics
Thank you so much!

I think it would be; density difference: 8.47 * 10^3 kg/m^3 - 1.56 * 10^3 kg/m^3 = 6.91kg/m^3 Change in weight we have 28.28-17.50= 10.78kg mass/density=volume 10.78/6.91=1.56
