Homework Help: Home Economics: Cooking: Taco Salad

1/4 lb. ground beef
1/4 medium onion, finely chopped
4 oz. (1/2 cup) whole tomatoes
1/2 oz. package dry taco seasoning
1/4 head of lettuce
1/8 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 package corn chips

Cook ground beef and onion together until beef is browned. Drain any extra grease. Drain can of tomatoes adding juice to beef mixture. Stir in taco seasoning and let simmer for five minutes.

Tear lettuce into mini pieces and place in a large bowl. Top with cheese, corn chips, and beef mixture. Toss lightly.

You can also put taco sauce or salsa to season the taco salad further.
