Homework Help: English: Books, Novels & Plays: Molly Learns A Lesson

Story written by Valerie Tripp

The title of my book is "Molly Learns A Lesson".
The author of the book is Valerie Tripp .
The illustrator of my book is Nick Backes.
There are 59 pages in my book.
The type of book is realistic fiction.

Fiction

The protagonist of this book is Molly McIntire. The antagonist of this story is Ricky McIntire, Molly's older brother. Ricky is always playing pranks on Molly, her friends, and their (Ricky and Molly's) siblings. The problem Molly has is that a girl from school , named Allison, thought of knitting socks as the project for the "Lend-a-Hand" contest. Molly knew that knitting socks was hard, because she had taken lessons. She solves it by spying at Allison's house with Susan and Linda (her best friends), and ended up knitting blankets with all of the girls from the grade. Nonfiction

The main subject of this book is that Molly learns how to talk things out and agree on something with people she does not consider a friend, especially when they have to work on a project together. Two things I learned from this book are (1) that you should always work something out by talking to each other and not getting revenge or fighting, and (2) that working together can sometimes be easier than working alone. It just depends on what you are working on.

Quick Summary

The book is about a nine year old girl, named Molly McIntire. Molly has to work on a project with all of the girls in the grade. A girl named Allison suggested knitting socks. The teacher thought it was a great idea. Molly and her two friends, Susan and Linda, went to spy at Allison's house on the rest of the girls of the grade. They were knitting socks. Allison's mother found them and brought them inside. The knitting socks idea was discussed when they first came in, and the project became knitting blankets. Molly liked that idea. They won the contest against the fourth grade, the fifth grade, and the boys in there class. Molly was proud. I like this book because it is interesting to know how people who were once enemies became friends, and how they learned to discuss problems and work together on different things. I don't like two things about this book. One, Molly's older brother, Ricky, who is very mean. Two, the interesting book is so short. I would recommend this book because it is very interesting, and I think a lot of people would like it. I would recommend the book for people who like history, and especially girls.
