I've been stuck on these two, help! Which one is correct?

se llama roberto
llama roberto
and
Acuesto al nino
Me acuesto al nino

I'm confused on this one I could really use a second opinion

se llama Roberto. (he calls himself Robert OR his name is Robert)

acuesto al niño. (I'm putting the child to bed)

You only need me, te, se, nos os, se when the verb is reflexive OR "self" is involved = myself, yourself, himself, herself, ourselves and then the verb ending must match with the subject

Sra

To determine which sentence is correct, we need to analyze the grammar and structure of each option.

The correct sentence is: "Se llama Roberto." This sentence is in the third-person form, indicating that someone (he/she/it) is named Roberto. The reflexive pronoun "se" is used here to indicate that the action is being done to the subject itself.

On the other hand, the sentence "Llama Roberto" is not grammatically correct. This sentence literally translates to "He/She calls Roberto," but it lacks the reflexive pronoun "se" that is necessary in this context.

Regarding the second set of sentences, the correct option is: "Me acuesto al niño." This sentence means "I put the child to bed" in English. The reflexive pronoun "me" indicates that the action is being done to oneself (in this case, to the speaker), and the verb "acuesto" means "to put to bed."

However, the sentence "Acuesto al niño" is not correct. It lacks the reflexive pronoun and, therefore, does not convey the intended meaning.

In summary:

Correct sentence: "Se llama Roberto" (He/She/It is named Roberto)
Incorrect sentence: "Llama Roberto" (He/She calls Roberto)

Correct sentence: "Me acuesto al niño" (I put the child to bed)
Incorrect sentence: "Acuesto al niño" (I put the child)
