Really need some help

1. 14x^2+4+3x-12x^2-3+11x
A) 2x^2+7x+1
B) 2x^2+14x+1
C) 2x^2+14x+7
D) 26x^2+7x+7

2. 4x^2+4-5x+x-2x^2+8
A) -2x^2+4x+12
B) -2x^2-4x+12
C) 2x^2+4x+12
D) 2x^2-4x+12

14 x^2 -12 x^2 = 2 x^2

3 x + 11 x = 14 x

4 - 3 = 1
so
2 x^2 + 14 x + 1

============================
4 x^2 - 2 x^2 = 2 x^2

-5 x + 1 x = - 4 x

+4 + 8 = 12

so what do you think ?

gather like terms..combine...simplify

2. x^2(4-2)+x(-5+1)+8+4
2x^2-4x+12

I struggle with polynomials a lot.

Anyone got the answers to the test?

To simplify the expressions given, we need to combine the like terms and collect them together.

1. Expression: 14x^2 + 4 + 3x - 12x^2 - 3 + 11x

To simplify this expression:
- Combine the like terms with the same exponent of x. (14x^2 - 12x^2) + (3x + 11x) + (4 - 3)
- Combine the coefficients of the like terms. (2x^2) + (14x) + (1)

So the simplified expression is 2x^2 + 14x + 1.

Looking at the options:
A) 2x^2 + 7x + 1
B) 2x^2 + 14x + 1
C) 2x^2 + 14x + 7
D) 26x^2 + 7x + 7

Out of these options, the simplified expression matches option B) 2x^2 + 14x + 1.

2. Expression: 4x^2 + 4 - 5x + x - 2x^2 + 8

To simplify this expression:
- Combine the like terms with the same exponent of x. (4x^2 - 2x^2) + (-5x + x) + (4 + 8)
- Combine the coefficients of the like terms. (2x^2) + (-4x) + (12)

So the simplified expression is 2x^2 - 4x + 12.

Looking at the options:
A) -2x^2 + 4x + 12
B) -2x^2 - 4x + 12
C) 2x^2 + 4x + 12
D) 2x^2 - 4x + 12

Out of these options, the simplified expression matches option D) 2x^2 - 4x + 12.
