C. whether or not a geomorphic threshold was crossed
D. the steepness of the slope

2) Which of the following was caused by accelerated chemical weathering as the result of increased air pollution?
A. corrosion of the Grand Buddha at Leshan
B. contaminated groundwater from scarification
C. formation of The Great Blue Hole near Belize
D. massive landslide near Taipei, Taiwan

3) Which of the following forces opposes downslope movement of particles?

E. All of the above

I found 2 of the answers in my textbook, #1 is A and #4 is E

So, I now only need help with #2 and #3

Thank you

I also figured out #2 which is A.

#3 - B) particle cohesion

1) To answer the first question, you need to know what factors are used to classify mass movements. Mass movements are classified based on several factors, but in this case, the specific classification being asked about is based on what?

To find the answer, you could refer to your textbook or class notes on mass movements and their classification. Look for information about the factors used to categorize different types of mass movements. These factors are typically related to the characteristics of the movement itself.

Once you have identified the relevant factors, go through the given options (A, B, C, and D) and match them against the factors you found. The option that correctly corresponds to the factors used for classification is the correct answer.
