Create a mathematically accurate illustration of two similar triangles. The smaller triangle has sides of X, 6, and 12 centimeters while the larger triangle has corresponding sides of 20, 8, and 16 centimeters. Orient them in a comparable manner, such that X is on the left side of the small triangle and 20 on the left of the bigger triangle. Make sure the illustration contains no text, and is visually appealing

The two triangles above are similar.

a. Find x using the ratio of the sides 12 cm and 16 cm: x/20 = 12/16 Show your work.

b. Find x using the ratio of the sides 6 cm and 8 cm. Show your work.

c. Explain why the answers to (a) and (b) should be the same.

(The small triangles left side is X and the big triangles left side is 20. The small triangles right side is 6 and the big triangles right side is 8. The small triangles bottom is 12 and the big triangles bottom is 16)

a) 1. x/20 = 12/16 2. 12 * 20 = 240 3. 240 / 16 = 15 4. (doublecheck) 15 * 16 = 240 x = 15

b) 1. x/20 = 6/8 2. 6 * 20 = 120 3. 120 / 8 = 15 4. (doublecheck) 15 * 8 = 120 x = 15
c) In A and B x should equal the same number because in both you are looking for x and it cant magically change its value
NOTE: Please read these answers and take time to understand them. Write it in YOUR OWN words

3/4 = 6/8 = 9/12 = 12/16 = 15/20

Thanks Guys. When writing it in your own words it works out perfectly.

thanks i did right in my own words

Now thats a mood.

wow god dang he be a big smart

I still don't get it xb

can we just like stop we can say what we want and if someone said something that offend you remember we don't know each other so if someone said something to offend you they don't know so forgive and forget or just politely say something like "that offended me please don't say it again"

oof that was long and i sounded like a teacher/parent lol

@Trust Me Loves it doesn't matter if they did or not, they're still right regardless.

I respect you @Just Smile Today :)
