What does it mean to say that a number is a perfect square? Give one example of a number that is a perfect square and one that is not.

Can you plz help me?

I hate connectionas

Who else is in connexus and h8s it? The good thing for me is that its just for this year!!

A perfect square is the product of a rational number multiplied by itself.

4, 9, and 16 are perfect squares

1, 2, 3, 5, 6, etc. are not perfect squares

lolurmomUWU has a good point. I now do online school because I was bullied a lot and I could not function correctly in a regular classroom. I am very lucky to do school online because I don't want my depression and mental illnesses to get worse like it has in the past.

No I’m not thankful to be in an online school.

Especially with a family that beats me for no reason, makes me cry everyday. And drama on the internet. I’m not learning anything on online school.

This doesn't need to be responded to anymore, but I thought I might as well help.

1 (or 2 if you're writing it). Keep in mind, a perfect square is a number created by squaring a whole number. Squaring is known as "the result or product of multiplying a number by itself." Like Mrs. Sue said perfect squares are numbers like 4, 9, and 16. Why wouldn't a number be a perfect square? A number would not be a perfect square because "they cannot be expressed as the product of two equal integers."

3. irrational number

4. The Formula here would be 15^2+8^2=c squared
For anyone who doesn't understand the squaring process, it is simply (15 x 15)+(8x8)
Don't forget to square the answer!

5. So a perfect cube is basically a perfect square except you multiply by the third power.
Example: The square root of 216
6x6x6=216
6x6=36
36x6=216
Answer for the question: 125 because 5^3=125

6. 16 Squared+ (-8)= 4+(-8)= -4
-Integer: whole-valued negative or positive number (1, -2, 3)
-Irrational number: a number that cannot be expressed as a ratio (or a simple fraction)
-Radical: square root, cubed root, etc.
-Whole number: numbers that aren't decimals. (1, 2, 3, -4)

7. 25/64 squared
find the square root of 25 and then the square root of 64
5^2=25
8^2+64
5/8

8. This one is just estimating more so.
First, find the square root of 11 ( 3.31)
Now between the pieces of wood 3 ft, 4 ft, 5 ft, 6ft
Which could you use and cut off the least amount of wood?
3 ft is too small. 6 ft is too large.

9. This one is pythagoran theorum stuff. So instead of finding the hypotenuse or the diagonal, you are finding another side length.
6^2+h^2=8^2
36+h^2+64
64-36=28
Done? Not yet! You still have to square it.
28 squared is 5.29, so about 5.3

10. Chase. This is because you're estimating 54 squared. We know 7x7 (square root of 49) is 49 and 8x8=64. 9x9=81, that's too large. 6x6=36, that's too small. but the square root of 54 is just in between 49 and 64

11. 0.0202020 can be converted into a rational number because it is a repeating decimal.

12. It is a square wall, meaning the sides will all be the same length. 115 squared is 10.72. Thus, LxW
29x29 is wayy to large, as it equals 841. The closest would be 11x11
Thus, the answer is 11

13. Another square. 856 squared is 29.25. The approximate length is the number closest to 29.25 rounded

14. A rational number is a ratio, which can be written as a fraction. The answer would be: Every rational number can be written as a fraction.

15. I guess I sort of answered this with my example in #5. What to the third power is 216? so multiply by the same whole number three times. 6x6x6

ONLINE SCHOOL SUCKS BTW!!!!

BC YOU HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS ALWAYS CHECKING ON YOU AND IT GETS ANNOYING!!!! ALSO YOU DON'T GET TO SEE YOUR FRIENDS!!!!
AND YOU HAVE LIL BROTHERS ALWAYS MESSING UP STUFF AND BEING LOUD!!!! OH AND DRAMA MOST OF THE TIME!!!!
THINGS LIKE THAT ARE ANNOYING!!!!

okay jeez that was long, oops, didn't mean to make that long..

I hated public school. Im kind of an incell lol

What are all the answers?
