How to find the transformations of these graphs of equations?

1. y=(x+2)^2-3
2. y=3x^2-6
3. y=-2(x-4)^2+5

Please teach me..

y-k = f(x-h)

translates the graph y=x by the amounts h right and k up.

y = (x+2)^2-3
y+3 = (x+2)^2
y-(-3) = (x-(-2))^2
so, that is the graph y=x^2 shifted -3 up and -2 right. Or, more simply, 2 left and 3 down.

Work the others the same way. You can verify your results at the url below, using it as an example
