Toy land is having a sale. all items are 20% off how much will you save on an item that usually sells for $95?

(written response)

Its 19 Explain: To find 20% of 95 multiply 95 by 0.20, p5 x 0.20=19

Since nobody really understands this ill explain it better. :)))

20%= 0.2 in decimal form
Multiply 0.2 by $95
And then when you multiply them you get $19
So your answer would be $19
I hope this helped :)))

Oh and if anyone needs the first part of the quiz the answers are.....

1.B
2.C
3.A
4.D
5.A
6.D
7.C
8.B
Good Luck!! <3 - Cutie:)))

Set up a proportion in which one ratio represents the percent and the other ration represents the given info. part (%) / Whole (100). 20%/100 = x/$95 ($95 is the amount it sells) X is the unknown variable.

Next, Cross products to solve for x. Multiply the Numerator on the first variable with the Denominator on the 2nd variable. 20 x 95. Then cross it again with the Denominator on the first variable with the Numerator on the 2nd variable. 100 x X or 100x. = 1900/100x

Finally, pretend that the fraction is actually an equal sign. 1900=100x. To solve for x, you must do the opposite on both sides of the equation. 1900 divided by 100 = 100x divided by 100. 19=x

I would save $19 on an item that usually sells for $95.

0.2 * 95 = ?

Thank u Dontai and Dawson. Also dontai you put p5 its 95. because 95 times 0.20 is 19. After that your right so anyone don't get confused .

THE CORRECT ANWERS ARE.....

1:B
2:C
3:A
4:D
5:A
6:D
7:C
8:B

so what is the answer for short?

1. there are 600 sixth graders in the survey.

2.if you multiply 95 x 20/100 it equals 19 so you will save 19.00 dollars.

@Cutie is correct
