In the context of the story, the major dark

action in the story is the sport of killing
humans.
This is reflected through Rainsford's conflict
between choosing to get himself killed or
murder Zaroff.
This state of mind and dwindling between fear
and being died along with the struggle to
survive.
This substantiates the idea of their emotions
intensifying the action and if they could
overcome this, this inhuman practice could be
dealt with seriously.

lolz. Good luck getting this by your ELA teacher! Seriously, just talk with them, and they'll give you help writing this prompt! For instance, it's essentially just asking you to pick one of the stories from the unit ("The Most Dangerous Game", "The Cask of Amontillado", "The Raven", "Annabel Lee", "The Bells", or "The Lottery") and telling us how dark actions are shown in the story. Then you need to mention what made the character do the action and what would have happened if the character decided to NOT do the evil thing. It's maybe four sentences of an answer...
