Is #1 the same as #2? What other expressions can we use which have the same meaning?
1 and 2 infer she was garbage and he got rid of her, in my opinion. The first sentence is trash talk. "Broke up" is understand a relationship was "broken" and couldn't be fixed, like a glass dish.
