Okay... Well I did the test. It looks like I DID get the first one right. On the other question, it's "to gain understanding". Oh. BTW, the last one that you did, I was right. It was the 4th one. And, you said both were wrong. Thanks for the help...

So what is it A or D

I have one more question, and that's final.

What purpose might you set for reading as you scan the list of "People in the Play" and see characters with such names as Portly Do-Gooder, the Ghost of Christmas Past, Fezziwig, and a Corpse?

A. to complete a task
B. to make a decision
C. to gain understanding
D. to be entertained ** I think.

I meant "nope" to the first question. I had not seen the second one yet. :)

Certainly reading a novella or a play like "A Christmas Carol" is entertaining. Is that why you read the cast of characters list? Is that entertaining in and of itself? I don't think so.

Actually, to prevent spread of false answers, it is entertaining.

anonymous is 100% correct

I see Anonymous on here a lot and I can clarify that he or she is 100% correct :)
