Morita works in a florist shop and makes flower arrangements. She puts 10 flowers in each vase and

2/10 tenths of the flowers are daisies.

Part A
If Morita makes 4 arrangements, how many daises does she need?

Part B
Last Weekend, Morita used 10 daises to make flower arrangements. How many flowers other than daises did she use to make the arrangements? EXPLAIN your reasoning.

It is 8 for the part a and 40 for part b. Since 2 daisies for one floral arrangement and 5 arrangements will make 10 daisies. Total of 50 flowers in 5 arrangements and 10 out of those are daisies so the flowers other than daisies are 40.

its 5 since morita used 10 daisies. 2 of them are not daisies so 10 divided by 2 equals 5.
