(5) All 3 have the aim & purpose of life as nirvana / moksha i.e liberation from life & death & life cycle.
(6) All 3 believe in karma (deeds ) as the fundamental principle which moves every body.
(7) All three believe that karma (deeds) is the principle of action & reaction.
(8) All 3 believe that good karma (deeds) is the only way to get good fortune & bad karma brings misfortune.
(9) All three believe that meditation is the way to remove bad karma.
(10) All 3 believe that one need not enjoy in this world rather remain unattached to properties, wealth & relations as the worldly life is just a passing phase.
(11) Vegetarianism is very important in all three.
(12) All 3 believe in asceticism.

Buddhism is centered upon the life and teachings of Gautama Buddha, whereas Jainism is centered on the life and teachings of Mahavira. Buddhism is a polytheistic religion and it's main goal is to gain enlightenment. Jainism is also a polytheistic religion and it's goals are based on non-violence and liberation the soul.
