Create an image showing two pizzas: one cut half which is a Pepperoni pizza and the other pizza with three-fourths portion left representing a ham-and-pineapple pizza. Display the total calorie count as 765 without text, perhaps represented by small, equally sized symbols like apples, where each apple stands for an amount of calories. Then create a second scene with another pepperoni pizza, this time only a quarter is present, and a whole ham-and-pineapple pizza. In this scene, depict the total calorie count as 745 with the same apple symbols. The scenes should be visually appealing.

Half a pepperoni pizza plus three fourths of a ham-and-pineapple pizza contains 765 calories. One fourth of a pepperoni pizza plus a whole ham-and-pineapple pizza contains 745 calories. How many calories are in a whole pepperoni pizza? How many calories are in a whole ham-and-pineapple pizza?

Don’t tell the teachers is correct

Thank you

"dont tell the teachers" is 100% right for the Connexus Grade 9 Algebra Honors Unit 7 Lesson 3 Solving Systems Using Elimination Practice.

don't tell the teachers is correct.

thx peeps

If the calorie content of the pies are p and h, respectively, then we have

(1/2)p + (3/4)h = 765
(1/4)p + h = 745

Now just solve for p and h. It might be less cumbersome to clear the fractions:

2p + 3h = 3060
p + 4h = 2980
