with distribution:
(12 + 12) * 12
24 * 12 = 288
all i did here was separate the 24 into two other numbers that equal 24, which obviously is 12 since that's half of 24, but you can use other numbers. then i multiplied it by 12 again which is how many months in a year.
without distribution:
24 * 12 = 288
i think this one is common knowledge haha
